For instance, if one goes for flap breast reconstruction procedure using latissimus flaps, the patient may experience discomfort at the reconstruction site and at the back for about six weeks. Or, if a patient undergoes a reconstruction with TRAM flaps, she may take about six to over eight weeks to recover.
