Laser Facelift

Now laser beams are used to serve multiple purposes. The laser used in plastic surgery, facelifts and skin resurfacing emanates strong ray of a particular wavelength of light. The beam is powerful and it heats the skin surface resulting in a surface burn of the tissue. The surface layer is removed along with all the dead cells and this triggers the underlying collagen to tighten up. As the new surface crops up, the skin is gentle and tighter. Thus laser facelift basically causes laser Skin Resurfacing.
The laser facelift technique simply provides tightening, however in certain situations an authentic surgical facelift is obligatory. The Laser Treatment can be thought of as similar to chemical skin peeling but provide an additional benefit of tightening the collagen network beneath the skin. Though the technique is effective, it is suitable for only some area of the face depending upon the deepness of the skin creases. The laser facelift technique is very effective in horizontal creases of forehead, lower eyelids, fine cheek wrinkles and fine creases around lips. The effects are average on vertical furrows between eyebrows, crows-feet creases and minimal on upper eyelids, deep cheek creases, deep creases around lips and the neck creases.
Laser facelift involves no invasive procedures needed, no anesthesia required, no scars and no prolonged recovery time. The Laser facelift technique can remove the wrinkles from the skin, but cannot do away with sagged skin or any excess skin on face. Thus, this technique is used in addition to various surgical facelift procedures. The laser skin resurfacing entails some level of pain, recovery time and expenses. After the procedure, the skin is very sensitive for next ten days. After this the skin color becomes red followed by pink color and finally a light skin color. A common complication is a permanent lighter color than the neighboring skin, which makes the procedure unacceptable for people with intensely pigmented skin.
An overnight stay in the hospital after laser facelift is not necessary and you can go back home the same day. Recovery time of laser facelift is dependent upon the readiness of the person to be seen in public in different colors of different phases of laser facelift, however people are back to work within 10 days. However, the discoloration can be hidden by make-up in women, not for men. You must avoid sunlight exposure for approximately six months.
Now there are many substitute procedures to rearrange and tighten the skin of the face and soft tissue structures of the face. An important new step in facial surgery is the capacity to check the scarring. The procedure involved is known as short-scar facelift or a mini facelift or S-lift.  It is a facelift that relocates the skin and soft tissues of the face that have been modified by the aging process while significantly aiming at scar reduction. Here the scarring in the crease behind the ear and on the hairline at the back of the ear can be completely removed.
The cost of laser facelift is determined by the size and the number of the areas to be treated. The laser treatment of the entire face varies from $3000 to about $3500 including: pre-operative assessment, testing, operating room charges, anesthesia, recovery room, medicines, surgeons fee, dressing, the laser expenses and the follow-ups for six months.

Summary:The laser facelift uses laser beam, which is a strong, beam that heats the skin surface resulting in a surface burn of the tissue. The surface layer is removed along with all the dead cells and this triggers the underlying collagen to tighten up, thus laser skin resurfacing occurs.
