Acne Microdermabrasion

People of any age group may have the problem of acne. These problems are caused by the blocking of the pours of the skin with dust, and oil. There are many cleansing products in the market to clear these blockages. But they are all temporary in nature and are very short lived. Microdermabrasion can be effectively used for this acne removal. This type of microdermabrasion is known as acne microdermabrasion. In acne microdermabrasion a machine is used which first sucks out the dust and oils from the pours of the facial skin. After this the acne microdermabrasion machine blows aluminum dioxide powder or baking powder to clear away the superficial dead skin. Some of these acne microdermabrasion machines have two modes of operation that is vacuum mode for sucking out the oil, dirt and dead skin and the used powder and a blowing device used for blowing the abrasive powder. In some more advanced acne microdermabrasion these two modes works simultaneously. This shows an immediate result of the acne removal by the acne microdermabrasion process. The skin is made up of a superficial layer and a fresh skin lying underneath. As the acne problem is mainly associated with this superficial layer removal of this superficial layer by acne microdermabrasion removes the acne with it. Now the question comes will microdermabrasion stop active acne? The answer is acne microdermabrasion cannot stop the active acne but with continued acne microdermabrasion treatment regularly that is for once a week, the acne formation can be largely minimized. This is because acne microdermabrasion cannot eliminate the cause of acne. Acne microdermabrasion treatment only removes the affect of acne by removing the superficial dead skin. Unlike other acne removal processes acne microdermabrasion process does not require any surgical methods. The vacuuming process in acne microdermabrasion is very gentle in comparison to the harsh surgeries. Thus, acne microdermabrasion process is very less painful. So acne microdermabrasion process does away with the anesthesia required for other surgical process for removal of acne. As anesthesia is not required for acne microdermabrasion complications arising out of anesthesia in other cosmetic surgeries are not seen here. Moreover in other acne removal procedure the treatment and recovery time is much more compare to acne microdermabrasion process. Another advantageous side effect of acne microdermabrasion is as the upper dead skin is removed the inner layer of fresh and smooth skin comes out. This skin has less irregularities and more radiant. So acne microdermabrasion not only removes acne form the skin but also rejuvenates the facial skin thus, enhancing self confidence of individual.

Acne microdermabrasion is a very effective solution for acne removal. But regretfully the insurance companies do not provide insurance for this treatment. Thus, before going for acne microdermabrasion financial the matter and guarantee of fulfilling the expectation should be discussed with the dermatologist.
